1 Corinthians 2, Part 8
Paul Is The Apostle of Grace
The Apostle of NOW!
By Tammy Lacock
“NOW [emphasis added] we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.” (1 Cor. 2:12, KJV)
Warren Litzman continues to emphasize the word NOW, which Paul uses throughout his writings. Now is a grace word because it fits every believer from the Cross to now. Paul tells us that the law was dead at the Cross. We then stepped into the Dispensation of Grace, and we are still living in it NOW. From the moment we believe on Christ as our Savior, by grace, we receive the Spirit which is of God, that is Christ IN us. And by revelation, the Holy Spirit prepares us NOW for our new life IN Christ with the knowledge and understanding of Him. Christ IN us and the knowledge of Him are gifts of grace ordained by God before the foundation of the world (Eph. 1:4, KJV).
This is Paul’s gospel, given by Christ and superseding ALL other gospels.
It is the Gospel of Grace!
It is the Gospel of NOW!
