Ephesians 3, Part 8

What is the Mystery?

 By Tammy Lacock

“How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery, (as I wrote afore in few words; Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ” - Ephesians 3:3-4 (KJV)

Warren Litzman continues with Ephesians 3 verses 3-4 noting Paul’s emphasis on the mystery that was by revelation “made known unto me.” What is this mystery Paul received? Well, first we must again note that the mystery was revealed to him by Christ, Himself. And he clearly mentions that he wrote about this mystery before in his epistles.

We need only to look at all of Paul’s epistles to unveil the mystery. Time and time again, Paul, and only Paul, uses the terms “Christ In me,” “Christ In you,” “In Christ,” “In Him” to refer to this “mystery of Christ” that he ends with here in verse 4.

To name just a few places:

“But ye are not in the flesh, But in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.” (Romans 8:9-10)

“To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood.” (Galations 1:16)

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live ; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20)

“Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ (by grace ye are saved; and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:5-6)

The great mystery revealed to Paul from Christ, Himself is this:  Every single saved human being has Christ in them.

We must all, however, come to this knowledge by revelation and by grace. It is being revealed NOW in this “dispensation of the grace of God” more than ever because the rapture is near. We must be matured into the understanding of the family, 'house-broken', before we enter into our Heavenly Father’s house. And the only way is through the revelation of the mystery of Christ.

May we help Paul and pass on the mystery of Christ In us to all the world!!!
